Data & account deletion
You can delete your account and business data at any time. Because Lamnota stores data locally on your devices, most deletion happens right inside the app.
Where your data lives
Lamnota’s core data — transactions, inventory, customers, and user accounts — is stored on your host device and stays intact there. We do not operate any cloud server: your business data exists only on your own devices, on devices you have allowed to sync with your business, and in the backup files you create. You can create your own backup files anytime, and those files stay yours.
Deleting data inside the app
The fastest and most complete way. All data is removed from the device immediately:
- Open Settings → Account & data.
- Choose “Delete this business” to remove all transactions, inventory, and customers, or “Delete my account” to remove a single user account and its credentials.
- Confirm with the owner PIN. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Uninstalling the app also removes all local data on that device; we hold no cloud copy that could linger. Note that every device that synced with your business keeps its own local copy — repeat the deletion or uninstall on each of them. Backup files you exported — including any you uploaded to your own cloud storage — are covered below.
Your backup files
Backup files you’ve created are managed by you. For a complete wipe, delete your own copies from your devices, storage media, or your own cloud storage — and if you distributed a backup file to anyone, ask them to delete their copy. We do not hold copies and cannot delete them for you.
Data we process outside your devices
The limited data we process outside your devices — the app’s crash reports (via Sentry) and anonymous usage statistics (via PostHog), plus the lamnota.com website’s cookieless analytics and error reports (also via PostHog), the same services described in the Privacy policy — is not linked to your name, account, or any other identity. Because these records are anonymous, we cannot single out a specific person’s records to delete them on request; instead, they are deleted automatically at the end of a limited retention period.
Purchase history
Your subscription payment history is managed by Google Play on your Google account and subject to Google’s policies. We do not store your card details or payment method.
How long it takes
On-device deletion is instant. Crash reports, usage statistics, and the website’s analytics and error reports expire automatically at the end of their retention period.
