Acceptance of terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Lamnota application (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Description of service

Lamnota is a cashier, cash, and inventory recording app that works offline for daily use. The Service is developed and operated by an individual developer based in Indonesia. Core data is stored on your own devices — the host device and any devices you allow to sync with it — and device-to-device sync runs over your own local network.

Accounts and security

User accounts are created and stored on your host device. You are responsible for keeping your PIN and account credentials confidential. The account owner is responsible for all activity of devices and users connected to their host device, including the roles and permissions they grant. Notify us of any unauthorized access.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by:

  • Using the Service for any activity that violates applicable law.
  • Attempting to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the operation of the Service.
  • Using the Service to store or distribute unlawful content.

Data and backup responsibility

Because data is stored locally on your devices, backing up your data regularly is your responsibility. Lamnota provides backup and restore that produces a file (encrypted by default) for you to keep; safeguarding that file — and remembering its encryption password, which we cannot recover — is also your responsibility. The same goes for any copy you distribute to others: who receives a backup file is your decision, and we cannot retrieve or delete a distributed copy. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or corruption of data caused by device damage or loss, deletion, storage failure, sync interruption, a lost or unreadable backup file, a forgotten backup password, or restoring from an incompatible or modified backup file. A recent backup is your only safety net — make one regularly and check that it restores.

Free plan and subscriptions

Lamnota’s core features are available on the Free plan, with no per-transaction fees. Extra capacity and advanced features are available through the paid plans (Lite and Pro) and optional add-ons — monthly subscriptions billed through Google Play and subject to Google Play’s terms. Details are in the Refund policy.

Subscription status is confirmed through Google Play, which needs an internet connection from time to time. Daily recording keeps working offline; if a check falls due while you are disconnected, an offline grace period keeps paid features running. Current prices are always listed on the pricing page and may change; for active subscriptions, Google Play notifies you before a price increase takes effect.

Third-party services and your environment

Billing, app distribution, and updates run through Google Play, which we do not control. The Service also depends on your own environment — your devices, Android version, storage, and local network. We are not responsible for failures, outages, or policy changes of Google Play, nor for problems originating in your devices or network (for example full storage, a modified operating system, or an unstable local network).

Limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Lamnota is a recording tool: you remain responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for your own business, tax, and accounting decisions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data — arising from use of or inability to use the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service through Google Play in the 12 months before the claim arose (if you use the Free plan, the smallest amount applicable law allows). Nothing in these Terms removes rights that consumers have under mandatory provisions of applicable law.

Events beyond our control

We are not responsible for delay or failure in providing, updating, or supporting the Service when it is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, power or network outages, government action, or failures of third-party services.

Governing law and disputes

The Service is designed for small businesses in Indonesia and offered from Indonesia. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. If a dispute arises, we will first try to resolve it amicably; failing that, it will be settled in the courts of the Republic of Indonesia. If you use the Service from outside Indonesia, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with your local laws; mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected.

Severability

If any part of these Terms turns out to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts stay in force.

Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app and on this page before they take effect, and the “last updated” date above always reflects the current version. If your device stays offline, the in-app announcement appears the next time it connects — the version published on this page is the authoritative one. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
